For the last 25 years of her life, Andrée was devoted to using her gift of healing to help those who suffer. Her patients came from far and wide. Although she talked to them and to others about her wartime experiences she never intended to write a book. She was finally persuaded to do so only when it was pointed out that she would be writing on behalf of all those who had not survived the horrors of the concentration camps and were unable to tell their own story.
